JOB DUTIES


In collaboration with the principal investigator and associate dean, provide
assistance in the day-to-day management of Afghan-funded projects managed by
International Programs in Agriculture (IPIA).Key functions are to work with the
principal investigator and associate dean to provide logistics support for
on-campus and in-countrys various activities.Communicate with the various US
collaborating institutions and other international departments in various
activities and provide program assistance to those involved in the various
programs funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S.
Department of Agriculture (USDA) and State Department.


QUALIFICATIONS





Required:




Bachelor's degree.


Two years of project management experience.


Successful candidate will be willing and able to travel to Afghanistan at least
once a year.


Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.


Self-motivated, resourceful and the ability to exercise sound judgment in
prioritizing tasks.


Strong knowledge of budgeting principles and procedures with the ability to
successfully manage budgets.


Highly competent, thorough, and professional.


Exceptional level of cultural awareness.


Proficiency in software: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook/Electronic Email.




Preferred:




Experience and knowledge of Purdue rules, policies and procedures.


Policy and procedural issue experience between Purdue and partnering countries.


Demonstrated knowledge of University procedures related to sponsored programs.


Working knowledge of applicable law, rules, and regulations of sponsors.
